Fisher-Price Recalls Geo Trax Locomotive Toys for Excessive Lead in Paint

Fisher-Price in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a toy recall of approximately 90,000 Geo Trax toy locomotives, made in China, due to the paint containing excessive levels of lead.

The recalled toys include Geo Trax Freightways Transport and Geo Trax Special Track Pack toys. The recalled toy models were manufactured between the days of July 31, 2006 and August 20, 2007 with a date code between 212-6CK through 325-6CK which can be found on the bottom of the toys.

The packaging on the recalled toys are as follows:

** Freightway Transport: H5705

** Special Track Pack K3013

Consumers are advised to take the recalled toys away from children immediately and contact Fisher-Price for a free replacement toy.
